Looking for a safe, Christ-centered, FUN camp for your kids this summer? Send them to Summer Camp 2008 at Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church located at 1415 Bass Road in Macon.
Summer Camp 2008 at Mabel White is a summer day camp program designed to offer the ultimate camp experience for elementary-age children. Camp begins Monday, June 2 and will run through Friday, August 1. Summer Camp 2008 is open to all children who will be entering first through fifth grades in the coming school year (2008-2009). Cost for camp is only $100 per week per child, with a $10 discount for each additional child you register from the same family.
Your campers will enjoy a wide variety of camp activities including: swimming, kayaking, fishing, arts-n-crafts, team sports, new games, field trips, nature studies, special programs, music, drama, devotions, and values activities.
Your children will have the opportunity to form new friendships while strengthening old bonds with the other campers throughout the summer. They will also enjoy the special relationships they develop with their counselors – young adults who are committed to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of your children. The staff of Summer Camp 2008 will strive to offer your children opportunities daily to learn new skills, develop positive values, create lifelong memories, and to have loads of fun!
Summer Camp 2008 will enjoy the benefits and beauty of two wonderful campuses: the Mabel White Baptist Church campus and Tabernacle Lake, a camp facility owned by Tabernacle Baptist Church. Tabernacle Lake boasts 100 acres of rustic beauty off Thomaston Road including natural woodlands and wetlands with a 15-acre lake, game fields, nature trails, picnic pavilions, and much, much more. The Mabel White campus offers 40 acres on Bass Road, complete with lots of creative indoor space to provide your children with some fun activities away from the summer heat. Campers will start and end their day at the Mabel White campus, and they will enjoy Tabernacle Lake three days a week during the middle of each day. In addition, we will have a few field trips and excursions along the way.
Daily hours of operation for Summer Camp 2008 are from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. For the convenience of working parents, campers may be dropped off at pre-camp as early as 7:30 a.m. and be picked up from post-camp as late as 5:30 p.m. Pre-camp (7:30– 9 a.m.) and post-camp (4 – 5:30 p.m.) offer supervised recreation at a minimal additional cost each week for children of working parents. All campers will be dropped off and picked up at the designated site at Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church, 1415 Bass Road.
