Mabel White Baptist Church is committed to reaching and ministering to those in our community who have special needs.  We don't want anyone to miss out on learning about the Good News of Jesus Christ.  With this goal in mind, we offer specific ministry outreach to both the Deaf Community and also to those who we consider our "Special Friends."

Deaf Ministry:
The Deaf Ministry of Mabel White was established in 1970 under the leadership of Dr. Jimmy Waters, who was pastor at that time. Today, our deaf class meets for meaningful Bible Study in its LIFE Group at 9:30 AM each Sunday. At Mabel White, total communication is taught, as well as speech and sign language. Each Sunday worship service is at 10:45 AM and is interpreted for our deaf friends. There are regularly scheduled activities for the class and monthly birthday celebrations, as well as their annual Christmas party. In addition, they take annual trips to Deaf Conferences in Toccoa. Our deaf ministry is a vital part of the life of Mabel White Church.

Special Friends Ministry:
Mabel White is one of the few churches in Middle Georgia that has Bible Study for special friends. This wonderful group of men and women of all ages enjoys numerous opportunities for fellowship and travel, as well as regular Bible Study on Sundays. Our Special Friends class has been incorporated into the life of the church and are a valuable part of the ministry of Mabel White.
